Xiaomi has introduced a new portable charger in China called the Xiaomi Jinshajiang Ultra Thin Magnetic Power Bank 10000 45W. The company said the new device is designed mainly for portability, featuring a slim 13.2mm body and a weight of 195 grams. Its compact size measures 102 x 70.5 x 13.2mm.
The power bank includes two 5,000mAh battery cells, giving it a total capacity of 10,000mAh. Xiaomi is using new GSR silicon carbon anode battery technology, which the company says provides an energy density of up to 840Wh/L with 16 percent silicon content, a feature usually found in flagship-level batteries. According to Xiaomi, this technology helps provide high battery capacity while keeping the device thin and lightweight.
The power bank supports magnetic wireless charging up to 20W and works with both Xiaomi smartphones and Apple iPhones. For wired charging, it supports speeds up to 45W, along with 40W, 30W, and 27W charging options. Users can also charge two devices at the same time using both wired and wireless charging together.
The device itself can recharge at speeds up to 30W and supports common charging standards including QC and PD. Xiaomi has also added multiple safety features such as protection against overcharging, over discharging, overheating, short circuits, and other unusual operating conditions.
For heat control, the power bank uses an NTC intelligent temperature control chip, graphene cooling material, and thermally conductive silicone. Xiaomi also said the battery cells successfully passed safety tests involving needle penetration, high temperatures, and heavy pressure without catching fire or exploding.
Users can connect the power bank to a computer to check battery health, device information, and system records.
