He stated that economic fallout of Iran conflict is being directly transferred to people of Pakistan.

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the ongoing conflict in Iran is having severe economic repercussions across the world, with Pakistan also bearing the burden in the form of rising inflation.

In a video message, Bilawal Bhutto stated that the economic fallout of the Iran conflict is being directly transferred to the people of Pakistan, increasing financial pressure on households.

He said that when the conflict began, the federal government provided a 50 percent subsidy on its own initiative. He added that the federal government also requested provincial governments to extend further subsidies for public relief.

He noted that, following the federal request, provincial administrations provided support to transporters.

He further highlighted that the Sindh government has implemented welfare initiatives, including assistance through the Benazir Hari Card for small farmers owning up to 25 acres of land.

He said that the Sindh government has also announced a fuel subsidy program for motorcycle users and is providing free home solar kits to people living below the poverty line.
