Reiterates that armed forces will continue to pursue all facilitators and abettors of terrorism with full force

Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, on Wednesday visited Balochistan’s Zhob District to spend Eidul Azha with troops deployed along the western frontiers, saying that inhuman and brutal acts cannot weaken the resolve of the nation.
According to the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit began with Eid prayers, where special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s peace, stability, and prosperity, as well as for the martyrs who laid down their lives in the defence of the country.
“Field Marshal Munir offered Eid greetings to officers and soldiers and praised their exceptional grit, unwavering resolve, operational preparedness, and steadfast vigilance amid foreign-sponsored terrorism,” it said.
The field marshal paid tribute to the troops for their courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the country, saying they had shown “unmatched courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the nation against the menace of terrorism and hostile threats sponsored by inimical forces.”
Referring to the recent terrorist incident in Quetta, orchestrated by Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Hindustan and its proxies, he stated, “Such inhuman and brutal acts cannot weaken the resolve of Pakistan Armed Forces or the nation. The morale and resolve of troops and the people of Pakistan remain unshaken.”
He further reiterated that the “armed forces, in close coordination with law enforcement agencies and the people of Balochistan, would continue to pursue all facilitators, abettors and perpetrators of terrorism with full force.”
Upon arrival, the field marshal was received by the Commander Quetta Corps and also laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, paying tribute to the martyrs of the nation.
A powerful explosion ripped through a passenger shuttle train near Chaman Phatak in the early morning hours of Sunday as it travelled from Quetta Cantonment Railway Station towards the city railway station. At least 14 people were killed, including three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel, and 20 others were injured in one of the deadliest attacks in the provincial capital in recent months.
