Travis Barker calls himself an ‘accessory’ in ‘The Kardashians’

Travis Barker opened up about his passive role in The Kardashians.
In a recent episode of The New York Times‘ Popcast, on August 7, 2026 the musician opened up about his lack of involvement in The Kardashian, saying “I kind of don’t even realize I’m on the show,”
“I don’t watch the show… I think the best way for me to deal with stuff like that or to be a part of things like that is to not really acknowledge that I’m being filmed or anything different’s happening,” he added. “I never even approve episodes or watch them.”
Travis described himself as a supporting role. He said, “I’m an accessory.”
Reflecting on the time when he married Kourtney Kardashian in 2022 which was featured on the show, Travis recalled, “She put a bunch of footage together for our wedding, which was really cool.”
Adding, “But the show, it wasn’t really a learning curve to opening up or anything.”
The Blink-182 drummer also shared that why the couple discussed a sensitive topic like miscarriage on the series, “When there’s things that can benefit people or help people relate to something, I think that’s always a green light, especially — she’s always trying to do something like that.”
“Our journey of miscarriages and then IVF and it’s failed, resulting in us having a baby naturally — I feel like that’s a story that so many people can relate [to],” he further shared.
However, he praised his family’s unwavering support, saying, “They’ve all been super supportive, and I wouldn’t be here without all the love from them.”
It is pertinent to mention that Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian share a son together, Rocky.
