Matt Damon has opened up about the love story he shares with wife Luciana Damon.
In an interview with People Magazine, The Odyssey star called the couple’s two-decade marriage “the greatest thing” in his life.
Reflecting on the foundation that has kept their relationship strong since they first met in 2003, Damon said, “Boy, I’ve always loathed to give any advice because I feel everybody’s different and everybody’s relationship is different.”
“There’s a lot of love and respect underneath the relationship, and a lot of trust. It’s built on a very sturdy foundation. We continue to grow and evolve as people, and so that foundation’s really everything,” Damon added. “It’s the greatest thing in my life.”
Matt Damon and Luciana Damon first met in April 2003 and got married two years later. The couple are now parents to four daughters, Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella.
It is pertinent to mention that Damon’s wife is also partner at his and Ben Affleck’s production company Artist’s Equity.
The duo have blended their personal and professional life with Damon recently telling the outlet, “She’s been a part of that for me since I’ve known her. She reads everything I’m doing. She looks at cuts of movies. I’ve really relied on her notes for 23 years.”
“While I was doing The Odyssey, she was producing the movie that Ben was directing [Animals] and so they have their own work life and creative, professional relationship. We have one all together at the company, but they went off and did this movie while I was away and that’s great to see,” he added.
