Public holiday announced on July 11

The district administration has declared a public holiday across Vehari, district in Punjab on July 11 in connection with the annual Urs of Baba Diwan Haji Sher.

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed said the three-day Urs celebrations will begin on July 9.

According to an official notification, July 11 will be observed as a public holiday throughout the district to facilitate citizens and devotees attending the annual Urs celebrations of Baba Diwan Haji Sher.

The notification stated that examinations conducted by educational boards and universities will continue as scheduled and will not be affected by the holiday.

Students appearing for exams have been advised to follow their examination schedules as usual.

The district administration said government departments, medical facilities, and security agencies will continue to perform their duties during the public holiday.

Officials added that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure public safety, provide medical assistance, and maintain smooth administrative operations throughout the Urs celebrations.
