LONDON: Prince William and Princess Kate shared a glimpse of their summer memories, by posting a collection of family photos, royal appearances and charity moments as the Prince and Princess of Wales thanked supporters for making recent months special.
The Instagram update showed the royal couple enjoying events, spending time with their children and supporting important causes.
The couple shared the photo collection, titled “the summer rewind,” featuring images and videos from their recent activities. The post included a message thanking everyone who contributed to their memorable summer.
One of the photos showed William and Kate attending Royal Ascot, the annual five day horse racing event. Kate wore a bright yellow dress with a matching hat, while William complemented her outfit with a yellow flower on his jacket.
Another image captured the family enjoying time outdoors. William and Kate were seen relaxing on grass with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Their family dogs, Otto and Orla, were also featured in the picture.
The photo was previously shared in April to mark William and Kate’s 15th wedding anniversary. Photographer Matt Porteous captured the image, which showed the family celebrating together in a natural setting.
The summer collection also highlighted Kate’s participation in the three peaks challenge in June. The princess climbed Britain’s three highest mountains within 24 hours to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Kate has been in remission after her cancer treatment.
The royal summer update came shortly after Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, shared vacation moments with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Before sharing the family photos, William also used Instagram stories to address the recent wildfires affecting parts of France, Spain and the United Kingdom. He expressed support for those affected and thanked emergency workers responding to the disasters.
The prince said the fires showed the growing challenges linked to extreme weather and highlighted the need to protect people and nature.
