Pakistan Railways to run three special trains on Eid ul Azha

The special arrangements aim to provide safe, comfortable and efficient travel services.

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of three special trains ahead of Eid-ul-Azha 2026 to facilitate increased passenger travel across the country.

According to a spokesperson, the special arrangements aim to provide safe, comfortable and efficient travel services during the Eid rush.

The first special train will depart from Quetta for Rawalpindi on May 24, 2026. The second will also leave on the same day from Karachi City for Rawalpindi, while the third train will operate on May 25 from Karachi Cantonment to Lahore.

The trains will pass through major stations including Multan, Sahiwal, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Rohri, Bahawalpur, Khanpur and Jhelum, among others, to serve passengers from multiple regions.

Officials said the special trains will include economy class coaches and power vans to accommodate a larger number of passengers during the festive season.

Railways authorities have instructed relevant divisions to ensure timely and smooth operations of the special services.

According to the spokesperson, train speeds will be maintained within sectional limits and will not exceed 105 km/h.

Passengers have been advised to travel with valid tickets and prefer advance reservations to avoid last-minute rush.

Pakistan Railways said it remains committed to providing improved travel facilities to the public during Eid-ul-Azha.
