Pakistan Railways has announced it will restore the Babu Passenger Train and the Sandal Express later this month after both services were suspended during the coronavirus pandemic.
Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said the Babu Passenger Train, which operates between Lahore and Lala Musa, will resume service Aug. 20.
He said the Sandal Express, which runs between Multan and Sargodha via Jhang, will resume operations Aug. 21.
The minister said the decision to restore both train services was made in response to public demand and as part of efforts to improve railway operations and provide better travel facilities for passengers.
Abbasi added that Pakistan Railways plans to restore more suspended train services this year and further improve passenger facilities in line with the prime minister’s vision.
