In a tragic incident reported on April 20, a man shot a Canadian woman dead and injured several others before killing himself on Monday at Mexico’s Teotihuacan pyramids, a popular tourist and archaeological site outside of Mexico City, according to authorities.
Mexico’s security cabinet said the injured people were receiving medical care and were sent to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Canada’s foreign ministry did not immediately responded to the unsual incident yet.
The pre-Hispanic city was one of the most important cultural centers in Mesoamerica with full of tourist activities.
Additionally, Mexico’s Teotihuacan pyramids are also known as ‘Pyramids of the Sun.’
This is a developing news story.
