Naqvi approves awards for 78 national heroes

ISLAMABAD: Behind every national honour lies a story of courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment. Recognising the bravery of those who protected and served the country, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi approved civil awards for 78 individuals.

The recipients include martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation and Ghazis who displayed exceptional courage and bravery in the line of duty.

The approvals were made during a meeting of the Gallantry Awards Special Committee held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where civil awards were approved for individuals in various categories.

During the meeting, the committee acknowledged the services and sacrifices of martyrs who gave their lives for the country and appreciated individuals who demonstrated extraordinary courage in challenging circumstances.

Speaking on the occasion, Naqvi said honouring those who sacrificed their lives for the nation and those who showed exceptional bravery was a national responsibility.

He said the country remained indebted to its martyrs and Ghazis for their unforgettable sacrifices, adding that their courage and dedication represented a valuable national asset and would continue to inspire future generations.

Naqvi further emphasised the importance of recognising national heroes and preserving their legacy as a symbol of commitment, patriotism and service to the country.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Interior Secretary, Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Additional Cabinet Secretary, and other relevant officials. Representatives from all four provinces also participated through video link.
