Naomi Watts breaks silence on her secret role in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

Naomi Watts has finally become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a secret role.
Taking to her Instagram, the 57-year-old British actress revealed to her fans she has secretly voiced E.V.I.E. (E.V.), Peter Parker’s self-created artificial intelligence assistant in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Watts shared a photograph of herself on a Zoom call with Spider-Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton and also wrote a caption that read, “From playing your mom to playing your AI (100% human made).”
“Congrats Tom, Destin, and the whole Spider-Man: Brand New Day team on the historic opening weekend!! Immensely proud to even be just a tiny part of this incredible film!” she added.
For those unaware, this surprising cameo reunites King Kong star with Tom Holland almost 14 years after their 2012 film, The Impossible.
It is pertinent to mention that this has become Watts’ debut role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day hit theatres on July 31, 2026, followed by its IMAX release on August 6, 2026.
