Millions of pilgrims gather at Arafat, as Hajj Sermon calls for truth, unity and patience

During the Hajj sermon on Tuesday, at Masjid-e-Nimra, Imam Sheikh Ali Abdul Rahman-Al-Hudhaify urged Muslims to fear Allah, adopt Taqwa, and remain committed to truth and honesty. He called on believers to fulfill their promises, stay connected with their Creator, and avoid lies and false statements in every aspect of life

The sermon during Hajj at Arafat reminds pilgrims to strengthen their faith, remain patient, and follow the teachings of Islam with sincerity. It stresses the importance of unity among Muslims, respect for others, and complete trust in Allah.

He also warned Muslims against any actions that could harm unity within the ‘Muslim Ummah’. The sermon stressed patience during times of hardship and encouraged believers to hold firmly to faith during every trial.

The imam also prayed for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, asking Him to accept the worship and good deeds of the pilgrims.

Emotional scenes were witnessed as pilgrims raised their hands in prayer and recited “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik” during Wuquf-e-Arafat, the most important pillar of Hajj.

A major part of the message focuses on the Day of Arafat, which is considered one of the holiest days in Islam. Pilgrims raise their hands for Dua and ask Allah for mercy, health, forgiveness, and success in this life and the hereafter.

The sermon also highlights the message of Prophet Muhammad’s farewell sermon. It reminds Muslims about equality, justice, kindness, and brotherhood. Pilgrims are encouraged to help each other and stay humble throughout the journey.

Addressing millions of pilgrims gathered at Arafat, the imam said that the relationship between Allah and His servants is the true path to salvation.

After the Hajj sermon, pilgrims offered Zuhr and Asr prayers together at Arafat. According to the Hajj rituals, Maghrib and Isha prayers will be performed together in “Muzdalifah” under the open sky.

Pilgrims will continue the next stage of Hajj on the following day by performing animal sacrifice and shaving their heads. After completing these rituals, they will remove their Ihram and formally complete their Hajj obligations.
