He said no one would be allowed to take control of KP’s resources.
Awami National Party (ANP) provincial president Mian Iftikhar Hussain has rejected the increase in petroleum product prices and called for the abolition of the petroleum levy.
Addressing a Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in in Peshawar, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said the government should withdraw the petroleum levy and recognize the provincial autonomy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said no one would be allowed to take control of the province’s resources, adding that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were facing injustice and showing the world the difficulties they were experiencing.
Hussain alleged that elections had been engineered but said people would continue to speak out against injustice. He vowed to continue the struggle against what he described as oppression and said they would not surrender.
He called for free and fair elections, saying the people would not accept engineered elections.
