Lucki reportedly recovering after ComplexCon attack as police investigate incident
Reports have linked the assault to people associated with Playboi Carti following a dispute
Lucki is recovering after being injured during an altercation at ComplexCon in Los Angeles, with sources close to the Chicago rapper saying he is doing fine.
Footage from the event showed people fighting near parked vehicles. A separate video appeared to show Lucki, wearing a camouflage jacket, being helped towards a car with visible injuries near his neck.
The circumstances surrounding the confrontation remain under investigation.
Reports have linked the altercation to people associated with Lucki and Playboi Carti following a reported dispute involving Destroy Lonely and Lucki.
However, there is no verified evidence that Carti struck Lucki or ordered an attack.
The nature of Lucki’s injury has not been confirmed. Early reports described the incident as both a stabbing and a slash.
“LAPD is investigating the incident as an attempted murder,” TMZ reports.
Lucki and Carti previously collaborated on the 2015 remix of “Saucin’”, which appeared on Freewave.
Their relationship later became strained following public exchanges in 2024 involving jewellery, religion and perceived disrespect.
Lucki’s remarks about a cross chain were interpreted by Carti as a diss, while Lucki denied targeting him. Their disagreement became public after private messages were shared online.
Carti was involved with this year’s ComplexCon event as an artistic director alongside Hiroshi Fujiwara of Fragment Design.
