Bryce and Trinity have been crowned the winners of Love Island USA Season 8 after receiving the highest number of votes from the public.
The couple secured the $100,000 prize after maintaining one of the strongest relationships throughout the series. They finished ahead of runners-up Aniya and Carl, with Melanie and Sincere placing third and Kayda and Zach finishing fourth.
Bryce and Trinity formed a connection during the opening coupling and remained together throughout the competition.
Melanie and Sincere were also among the first couples to pair up, although their relationship came under pressure during the series’ movie night after footage revealed Sincere had been leading on both Melanie and Sol.
Kayda and Zach established their relationship early in the season after Zach chose Kayda, one of the show’s bombshell arrivals, over Kenzie. Meanwhile, Aniya and Carl coupled up following Casa Amor and quickly became fan favourites.
Season 8 continued the programme’s strong growth in viewership. According to first-party data from NBCUniversal, the season premiere became Peacock’s most-watched television debut, attracting 3.7 million views.
Host Ariana Madix also received her first Emmy nomination for presenting the reality dating series.
The season was also marked by controversy after two contestants were removed from the villa when resurfaced videos showed them using the n-word. The programme experienced a similar incident during Season 7, when two islanders were also removed after using racial slurs.
Madix is scheduled to return as host for the Love Island USA Season 8 reunion on August 31 at 6pm PT / 9pm ET. The series is produced by ITV America in association with Lifted Entertainment and WPP Media’s Motion Entertainment.
