Kristen Bell says her kids eat fast food whenever their dad, Dax Shepard, is in charge.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show, Bell spoke about often being away promoting her projects—her latest one being the third season of her Netflix series Nobody Wants This.
She said her phone lights up soon after she leaves. “I usually receive, almost immediately, notifications on my phone,” she said. They say things like “Your McDonald’s has been delivered” and “Your Taco Bell has been delivered.” She said the kids “just eat fast food.”
Bell has a spy at home, too. Her oldest daughter, Lincoln, 13, sends her updates. Bell calls them “in-house paparazzi photos.”
She said Lincoln once texted that it was 10 p.m. and they should be in bed, but their dad was “going hog wild” in the cereal cupboard.
Still, Bell trusts Shepard with their daughters, Lincoln and Delta, 11. She said she has been in and out of town for about six weeks on a press tour.
She said leaving makes a mom nervous. But then she realises the kids are fine. The school does not call to say they are absent. When she gets home, she said, “no one has stitches.”
