Khloé Kardashian explains why she keeps turning down acting roles despite offers for films and scripted series

Khloé Kardashian has explained why she continues to turn down acting opportunities, despite regularly receiving offers for films and scripted television projects.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter while promoting her Hulu reality series The Girls, Kardashian was asked whether she would consider returning to acting.

She said she is frequently approached about roles but does not currently feel that acting is where her passion lies.

“But I get asked to act all the time and to do these roles. I’m never gonna say never, but currently it’s not something I feel like makes my heart happy,” she revealed. “It’s not like where my passion is with anything.”

Kardashian also recalled taking an acting class during the third season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saying the experience affected how she feels about acting today.

She described herself as “literally traumatized” by the experience and blamed “season three for why I am so traumatized when it comes to acting.”

Although she has been approached for movies and scripted series, Kardashian said she would only take on acting if she could fully commit to developing her skills.

“But I also don’t want to do something that I don’t feel like I could give 100 percent with. I don’t think it’s fair to any production, any people that are working their butts off,” she continued. “It would have to be something I take classes in, really study and try to be the best I can be at it.”

She added, “It’s not something I would ever do, like, OK, acting sounds cool today. That’s just not who I am. I would have to take it seriously, and right now, I don’t know if I have the bandwidth to do all that extra stuff to give another workplace what they deserve out of me.”
