Karachi to remain hot and humid, PMD forecasts strong winds

Most other parts of the country to remain hot and dry.

KARACHI: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), hot and humid weather conditions are expected to persist in the city today, with the possibility of intermittent strong winds during the day.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 28.4°C, while the current temperature stands at 30°C. Humidity levels have been recorded at 75 percent, making the weather feel more uncomfortable for residents.

The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 35°C and 38°C. West winds are currently blowing at a speed of 12 km/h, while the sky is expected to remain partly clear with no chance of rainfall in Karachi.

Nationwide weather outlook 

The PMD further stated that scattered rain is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and northern Balochistan, while Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir may experience windstorms accompanied by thunder and rain, with a possibility of hail at isolated locations.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, partly cloudy conditions are expected, with chances of windstorms and thunderstorms. The Met Office has also warned of hailstorms at some places in the federal capital region.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in most other parts of the country, as per the forecast issued by the Met Department.
