As soon as Val Chmerkovskiy made his comeback he wasted no time apologizing to his Dancing With the Stars partner Jenna Dewan following the chaos caused by his one-week suspension.

In their intro package shown during Tuesday’s “Horror Movie Night” episode, he said, referring to his controversial social media post, “We are back together. I am so sorry for all the chaos. You did not sign up for that, and I feel awful.”

In response Jenna said, “I forgive you,” before giving him a hug.

“I missed you,” she added.

Then Val and Jenna performed an Argentina inspired tango on the song Uninvited by Damned Anthem and Kendra Dantes.

This came a day after the American actress and dancer took to Instagram and shared some insights ahead of their performance this week.

“Hi everybody, here we are. We are here for ‘Halloween Horror Movie Night’ we are doing an Argentine tango to the song ‘Uninvited’ it’s inspired by the movie 28 Weeks Later,” Jenna said in the clip originally posted on DWTS’s official page.

For those unversed, the DWTS team announced the 40-year-old pro dancer’s suspension ahead of the week six episode after he made a controversial remark referencing Will Smith’s infamous Oscar slap in response to criticism that judge Carrie Ann Inaba gave his wife, Jenna Johnson, in a previous episode.

After the suspension Val publicly apologized for his remark in a statement shared with Page Six.

To cover Val’s place, Alan Bersten, who was eliminated in a previous episode of the show, stepped in as Jenna’s dancing partner.
