Islamabad enforces one dish rule in weddings

The administration in Islamabad has strictly enforced the one-dish policy, warning that a second violation will lead to sealing of marriage halls, arrests, and legal action with fines.

According to officials, enforcement has been increased at wedding venues to ensure that only limited food items are served as per government rules. They said repeated violations will not be accepted and action will be taken under the law.

The district administration stated that if marriage hall owners break the rule more than once, a case will be registered against them. Orders have been issued that a second violation will result in sealing the venue and arresting the owners.

Authorities have instructed all field officers to implement these rules immediately. They also warned that holding events in a sealed building will lead to further legal action, including arrests and heavy fines.

Officials said these steps are necessary to make sure sealed places are not used illegally. The Deputy Commissioner has directed police to ensure arrests in such cases and to support administrative teams during inspections.

Assistant Commissioners have been told to carry out daily checks across the city and take action against all marriage halls without exception. Monitoring teams will continue visiting venues to ensure rules are followed.

The administration said all departments are working together to enforce the policy and urged hall owners and event organizers to follow the rules to avoid legal trouble. The campaign will continue, and more steps may be taken if violations continue.
