The new Watch Kids X1 series has been designed with children in mind featuring a distinctive 360-degree rotating and flippable body that adds a playful element to its functionality.

The standard Watch Kids X1 comes with a soft silicone strap for everyday comfort, while the X1 Pro introduces a detachable camera-style case that allows the device to be used more like a handheld gadget.

Both models feature a 1.82-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 408 pixels, along with an anti-sunlight protective layer to ensure better visibility in outdoor environments.

For photography and communication Huawei has included a 5MP ultra-wide front camera and a 13MP rear camera, enabling children to capture images and make HD video calls through the company’s FamCare application. The X1 Pro variant is offered in Black and Purple color options, adding a premium touch to the lineup.

One of the key highlights of the Watch Kids X1 series is its strong focus on child safety and parental monitoring. The devices support advanced positioning technologies including dual-band GNSS, Wi-Fi connectivity, cellular support, Bluetooth, and real-time tracking.

Through the FamCare app, parents are able to monitor their child’s location in real time, set safe and restricted zones, receive instant alerts when boundaries are crossed, and manage app usage remotely. Additional controls include call management, focus mode scheduling, and direct video calling to the smartwatch.

For emergencies, both devices are equipped with an SOS function that can automatically alert parents or trigger emergency calls when the side button is pressed five times. Health-related features such as heart rate monitoring and emotional well-being tracking are also included.

Both smartwatches come with 2GB RAM, while the Watch Kids X1 offers 32GB storage and the X1 Pro provides 64GB of internal storage. The devices are equipped with multiple sensors including gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, optical heart rate sensor, magnetometer, and Hall effect sensor.

Huawei has also focused on durability, equipping both models with built-in speakers and microphones along with 2 ATM, IP68, and IP69 water resistance ratings, making them suitable for active children.

The company claims that both models can deliver up to one day of typical battery usage.

The Watch Kids X1 is priced at approximately $293, while the more advanced Watch Kids X1 Pro carries a price tag of around $410. Huawei has confirmed that both models will be rolled out in select global markets soon.

With this launch, Huawei aims to strengthen its presence in the growing segment of smart wearables for children, combining entertainment, safety, and parental control in a single device.
