LAHORE: Gold and silver prices registered a sharp increase in both local and international markets on Thursday, pushing precious metals to new record highs.
According to market reports, the price of per tola gold surged by Rs. 7,800, reaching Rs. 496,762 in the local bullion market.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 6,687 to settle at Rs. 425,893.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $78 per ounce, taking the global rate to $4,744 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices also witnessed a significant rise. The price of per tola silver increased by Rs.373, reaching Rs. 8,445.
The rate of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs. 320 to Rs. 7, 240 in the local market.
Globally, silver prices reached $79.61 per ounce amid continued fluctuations in international bullion markets.
