‘Euphoria’ episode 6 explores Rue’s search for redemption after surviving Alamo’s attack, setting up series’ final
Euphoria season 3 episode 6 answered one of the series’ biggest recent cliffhangers by confirming that Rue survives Alamo’s attack following the events of last week’s episode.
The latest episode, titled ‘Stand Still and See’, opens with a flashback narrated by Zendaya that explores Alamo’s childhood and relationship with his mother, played by Danielle Deadwyler.
The episode explains how his upbringing shaped his distrust of women and his violent outlook. Despite charging at Rue with a polo mallet in episode 5, Alamo ultimately spares her life.
Rue’s legal troubles also begin to ease after she secretly records a conversation between Laurie and Alamo. The recording appears to place federal investigators on her side and could reduce the threat she faces from law enforcement.
The episode shifts focus to Rue’s personal struggles as she attempts to reconnect with Jules. Their conversation initially appears calm before escalating into an argument about Jules’ relationship with a sugar daddy. Jules slaps Rue during the confrontation, causing her to fall into a painted canvas.
Later, Rue seeks comfort in a church and phones her estranged mother. “I guess I just figured if He exists, then so does redemption. If there’s redemption, then there’s salvation. I kind of need that. It’s just – I don’t really want to be stuck with all the mistakes I’ve made,” she says.
Cassie’s storyline also develops further as her role on L.A. Nights gains attention. After impressing producers during a performance, she faces pressure to shut down her OnlyFans account to continue working on the show. Cassie eventually deletes the account after speaking with Nate.
The episode ends with another mystery surrounding Rue after an unidentified vehicle nearly forces her off the road. Once she escapes the incident, Rue encounters what appears to be a burning bush, setting up further developments before the season finale.
