Ethan Jamieson arrest sparks questions over alleged shooting case

Actor Ethan Jamieson, known for his role in The Hunger Games, has been arrested in connection with a serious assault case involving an alleged shooting incident targeting three individuals in Raleigh, North Carolina, according to court records and police statements.

Authorities confirmed that the 27-year-old actor was taken into custody on April 8 and charged with three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

The Raleigh Police Department stated that the incident occurred on March 22 at approximately 9:52 p.m. when officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area.

Upon arrival investigators spoke with a victim who reported that an unidentified individual riding an e-bike had opened fire on their vehicle while it was in motion. Two other passengers were also inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Following an investigation, detectives identified Jamieson as the alleged suspect who fired a shot using a 9mm semi-automatic handgun in the direction of the victims’ vehicle. The three individuals involved have been identified in court documents as E.F., J.M., and K.W.

Jamieson was subsequently arrested and formally charged. Court records confirm that he was denied bail on April 9, and his next court appearance is scheduled for a disposition hearing on April 30.

Authorities also noted that this is not the actor’s first encounter with law enforcement. He was previously arrested in March 2025 in Raleigh on a charge of resisting a public officer and was later sentenced in March 2026 in connection with that case.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further updates are expected as the case proceeds through the legal system.
