Elon Musk has been accused of weaponizing a crisis and stoking division with his comments on a recent crisis in Ceuta, Spain.
Taking aim at the billionaire, Greenpeace International, a global campaigning network, said “Elon Musk’s comments on the Ceuta border situation spell out a worldview where weaponising a crisis and stoking division is just a calculated business strategy. “
The coordinating body for a global network of independent non-profit environmental organizations also shared on social media a clip featuring Elon Musk’s controversial remarks and his X post on the situation in Morocco and Spain.
The group said, “Power belongs with the people, not to autocrats and corporate bullies. How much of our future are we willing to surrender to a few billionaires? “
It said, “It is yet another manifestation of tech-bros trying to fracture democratic unity and dodge regulation, in an attempt to isolate countries and make them easier to bully.”
The organization said, “It is time to resist the billionaire takeover of our culture, rise above the hateful rhetoric of division, and demand that our leaders stand up for international law and human decency.”
