Lahore: a major development has emerged regarding the hosting of the qualifying rounds for the next Hockey global Cup.
According to sources, Egypt and Chile had been chosen to host the FIH Hockey World Cup qualifying rounds.
Sources added that the Pakistan hockey team will play its qualifying round in Egypt, where strong teams from the South Asian and African areas will also be in action.

The official announcement, venues, and complete agenda are expected to be released soon by the FIH.
According to sources, the qualifying matches may take place between February 28 and March 7, after which the successful teams will secure their place in the World Cup.
