
Dr. Faiqa Aftab Qureshi, a highly respected pediatric emergency expert, tragically lost her life in a devastating car accident in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. She was 75.
According to authorities, her 2024 Lexus RX 350 veered off the northbound side of Interstate 85, roughly 2.5 miles north of McKenney Highway, and caught fire. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but sadly, Dr. Qureshi was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dr. Qureshi was a distinguished graduate and former faculty member of King Edward Medical University (KEMU) in Lahore and devoted much of her life to caring for children at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. She was also the beloved daughter of the late Air Marshal Nur Khan.
Her sudden passing has left a deep void in the medical community and among all who knew her compassionate spirit. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of this tragic accident.
