Chris Evans shares ‘good reason’ to prioritise his work

Chris Evans recently talked about the change he has been observing in his thought pattern since he embraced fatherhood.

For those unaware, Evans and his wife, Alba Baptista, welcomed their first child, a daughter named Alma Grace Baptista Grace on October 24, 2025.

The 45-year-old American actor attended a recent fan expo, where he talked about a shift in his priorities.

Evans said, “I have a daughter now and … you need a really good reason to want to go to work now. So, you know, priorities have shifted a bit.”

During the time when the couple welcomed Alma into the world, an insider told PEOPLE magazine, “They’re enjoying their privacy and these special first few days as a family with their baby.”

Notably, Evans and Baptista, who were rumoured to have a relationship in 2021, made their relationship Instagram official in January 2023.

An insider told US Weekly at that time, “This is the most committed anyone can remember him being in a very long time, if not ever. They spend most of their time at his place in Massachusetts and love the quiet life there, surrounded by nature and away from the spotlight.”

“Chris was very open that he wanted to take his time before settling down,” the source stated.

It is pertinent to mention that Chris Evans and Alba Baptista tied the knot secretly in Cape Cod in September 2023; however, the couple announced their marriage the following month, revealing that they had two weddings.
