Cassie moves abroad after Diddy trial, does not plan to return to US

The singer disclosed the information in a May 1 filing connected to her lawsuit against male escort Clayton Howard

Cassie has reportedly relocated outside the United States and does not intend to return permanently, according to court documents.

The singer, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, disclosed the information in a May 1 filing connected to her lawsuit against male escort Clayton Howard.

The filing states that she is “not a resident of California” and currently lives “outside of the United States” with no plans to move back.

According to the documents, it would be “significantly more convenient” for Cassie to travel to New York, where her legal team is based, rather than California for matters relating to the case. No further details about her current country of residence were included in the filing. TMZ first reported the development.

The update comes roughly a year after Cassie testified during the high-profile criminal proceedings involving her former partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs.

During the 2025 trial, she provided testimony concerning allegations related to their relationship. The pair dated on and off for more than a decade before separating in 2018.

In 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit alleging sexual assault and physical abuse. Combs denied the allegations, and the case was settled shortly after it was filed.

In separate criminal proceedings, Combs was later convicted on two counts of transportation and acquitted on other charges. He is currently serving a four-year prison sentence.

Cassie has since focused on family life with her husband, actor Alex Fine. The couple share three children, including a son born after the trial and daughters Frankie and Sunny.
