American boxer Hannah Rapp died after she was hit by a car while riding her bicycle in Texas.
According to the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, the 26-year-old was riding her bicycle when a car passed her, suddenly stopped and then reversed into her.
The driver has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.

Rapp challenged for the WBC women’s featherweight title in June but lost to Tiara Brown in Orlando. She finished her professional boxing career with a record of eight wins, one loss and one draw.
In a statement, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman described Rapp as an exceptional boxer and, above all, a valued member of the boxing family.
Tiara Brown also paid tribute to Rapp, calling her the best opponent she had faced as a professional. Brown said Rapp had asked for her autograph before their title fight, something that deeply touched her.

Brown said they were preparing to face each other in the ring, but Rapp still took the time to ask for her autograph. She added that they shared a great fight and that it was an honor to compete against her.
Originally from Indiana, Rapp competed in athletics before transitioning to boxing. She turned professional in 2024 while also working full time as a fire and life safety inspector.
Her promoter, Most Valuable Promotions, said Rapp left a lasting impression on everyone who met her. The company described her as a talented athlete, a respected member of the boxing community and someone admired by those around her. It also said it was grateful to have been part of her journey and would honor her memory in the coming weeks.
