A$AP Rocky says he would fight Drake ‘bare knuckles like the Irish’ amid years of tension

A$AP Rocky has addressed his long-running tension with Drake by joking that he would fight the rapper “bare knuckles like the Irish”.
The comment came in a preview of Rocky’s upcoming interview with Jason Lee, released on Monday, August 3.
During the brief clip, Lee asked Rocky whether he would take part in a celebrity boxing match before directly asking, “Would you fight Drake?”
Rocky replied, “Bare knuckles like the Irish.” The exchange has prompted renewed discussion about the relationship between the two artists, who previously collaborated on “F**kin’ Problems”.
Rocky has previously claimed that the tension began around 2020 after he started dating Rihanna, with whom he now shares three children.
He said Drake “started throwing shots out of nowhere” and explained, “I just woke up and felt like he was throwing subs and s**t.”
The dispute later became more prominent through their music. In 2024, Rocky appeared to take aim at Drake on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Show of Hands”, while Drake responded on “Family Matters”.
Rocky subsequently referenced their dispute again on “Stole Ya Flow”, including the lines, “First you stole my flow, so I stole yo’ b**ch” and “N***as getting BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame / Throwing dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game.”
Drake also appeared to reference Rocky on his “Burning Bridges” track, rapping, “Your baby mama ain’t even post your single, damn / Where she at? Yeah, where she at?”
Whether Rocky’s latest comment was serious or simply part of the interview’s promotional teasing remains unclear.
