Ken Urker’s death remains under investigation in Louisiana, with authorities yet to rule out foul play, according to TMZ.
The former fiancé of Gypsy Rose Blanchard died at a home in Raceland, Louisiana, on Thursday night.
Captain Brennan Matherne of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office told TMZ that detectives had not found evidence of foul play at this stage, but the investigation remains ongoing.
“As of right now, detectives have not found any evidence of foul play, but they’re still investigating and have not ruled out anything yet,” Matherne said.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call at a home in Raceland, where officers found Urker dead and began a death investigation.
Blanchard later addressed Urker’s death, saying she believed he died from an overdose after an unknown substance was allegedly found at the scene.
She also said Urker did not have drug issues and described him as a responsible person who was intentional about being a father and partner.
Following his death, his sister, Autumn, addressed the circumstances during a TikTok livestream. She confirmed that his passing was “not of natural causes,” but according to her, law enforcement suspected no foul play.
Urker and Blanchard had previously been engaged while Blanchard was serving a prison sentence for her role in conspiring to kill her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.
The pair later separated before reconnecting following Blanchard’s split from Ryan Anderson.
Urker and Blanchard welcomed their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, in December 2024.
According to TMZ, Urker’s autopsy was scheduled for later on October 2.
The results could provide further information as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
