
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani YouTube creators are attracting a growing global audience, with new figures from YouTube highlighting the rapid expansion of the country’s creator community and increasing international demand for Pakistani content.
According to a report released by YouTube, Pakistan has emerged as one of the world’s most dynamic creator communities, with artists, content creators, and digital innovators using the platform to showcase diverse and original content.
The report said audiences in Pakistan and abroad are watching Pakistani YouTube content in record numbers, helping local creators build a strong presence across international markets.
YouTube’s data shows that more than 140,000 Pakistani channels now have over 10,000 subscribers, while more than 19,000 channels have surpassed 100,000 subscribers. More than 1,200 channels have crossed the one million subscriber milestone.
During the past year, Pakistani creators uploaded more than 20 million hours of content to the platform. The report identified the creators’ expanding international reach as one of the most significant trends.
According to YouTube, 60% of the total watch time for Pakistani YouTube videos now comes from viewers outside Pakistan, reflecting the growing global appeal of local content.
The report said Pakistani creators are reaching audiences across South Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America, driven by high-quality, authentic, and internationally relevant content.

Earlier, YouTube has introduced a new feature that allows eligible creators to upload and edit custom thumbnails for Shorts, fulfilling a long-standing request from content creators.
The new tool is currently available only to creators enrolled in the YouTube Partner Program, meaning those who monetize their videos. Eligible users can upload custom thumbnail images for their Shorts to better attract viewers.
YouTube said creators will also be able to change thumbnails for previously published Shorts through YouTube Studio on desktop or laptop computers.
