TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has accused the United States of making unfair and illogical demands during ongoing negotiations, saying Washington’s approach is undermining diplomatic progress.
According to international media reports, Baghaei said the US stance has remained consistently rigid and unrealistic, with some conditions being excessive and unacceptable. He added that these demands are making it increasingly difficult to move the talks forward.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that continuing negotiations under the current US conditions has become practically unworkable and that Washington’s approach is further complicating the diplomatic process.
Baghaei said diplomatic coordination through Pakistan is continuing, but blamed US and Israeli policies for seriously damaging peace and stability in the region.
He added that the current tensions have weakened regional security and that despite ongoing diplomatic efforts, the situation is deteriorating rather than improving.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump has firmly rejected Iran’s latest proposals aimed at securing a ceasefire, describing them as “completely unacceptable.”
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said he had reviewed the recent proposals submitted by individuals claiming to represent Iran, but found them unacceptable and unsuitable for Washington.
He stated that the differences between the United States and Iran remain substantial, with both sides still far apart on key issues.
