The polio booster campaign will run from May 11 to May 24, 2026.
KARACHI: A high-level meeting chaired by Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan was held at the Karachi Police Office to review arrangements for the Polio Booster Campaign 2026, in coordination with representatives of the polio eradication team.
The meeting was attended by DIG Administration, zonal DIGs, district SSPs, officials from UNICEF, and other relevant stakeholders. Detailed discussions were held on operational planning, security measures, and inter-agency coordination.
According to officials, the polio booster campaign will run from May 11 to May 24, 2026, during which children up to the age of 10 will be administered booster doses to protect them against polio.
On the occasion, the police chief directed authorities to ensure foolproof security arrangements and seamless coordination with all concerned departments to guarantee the success of the campaign.
