FC headquarters in Peshawar under attack: police

The headquarters of the Federal Constabulary (FC) in Peshawar has come under attack, senior police officials confirmed to Dawn on Monday.
Speaking to Dawn, Peshawar Capital City Police Officer Mian Saeed Ahmad, said: “The FC headquarters is under attack: we are responding and the area is being cordoned off.”
Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terror activities, particularly in KP and Balochistan. The spike in terror incidents followed the TTP ending a ceasefire with the government in November 2022 and vowing to attack security forces, police, and personnel of law enforcement agencies.
