The United States Embassy in Riyadh announced that all US missions in Saudi Arabia will remain closed for the day. Regular operations, along with emergency American Citizen Services appointments, have been canceled.
Meanwhile, Canada has taken similar action by closing its Embassy of Canada in Riyadh and canceling all scheduled appointments through March 6.
In addition, US authorities said that a “shelter-in-place” advisory remains active for the cities of Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dhahran as a precautionary security measure.
