Karachi: In a sharp and unexpected downturn gold prices have recorded a significant drop sending ripples through both local and international markets and catching investors off guard.
One tola of gold has fallen by PKR 7,100, bringing its price down to PKR 486,962. Meanwhile, the price of ten grams of gold decreased by PKR 6,087, now standing at PKR 417,491.
In the global market, gold prices also declined by $71 per ounce, settling at $4,642, reflecting a broader downward trend.
Silver prices followed suit with one tola dropping by PKR 350 to reach PKR 7,634.
Market analysts suggest that fluctuations in the international market are driving local price movements, with investors closely watching for further changes in the coming days.
