LAHORE: Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning Agency has geared up construction activities to beautify nine underpasses on canal road starting from Dharampura to Doctors Hospital.
According to official sources, the Tepa Chief Engineer Iqrar Hussain has urged the project team as well as the contractors to complete all works as soon as possible in a bid to complete and inaugurate the project on time.
The Chief Engineer Mr Iqrar, according to sources, is also paying repeated visits to all underpasses where the construction work is underway these days on fast pace.
The officials said since the project is first of its kind in Lahore, its completion will add beauty of Lahore canal road with well renovated underpasses.
During recent meetings, according to officials, the Tepa chief was reported to have directed the officers to leave no stone unturned in completing the project as per standards as desired by the Lahore Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
On the other hand, the Tepa has also issued a tender inviting eligible firms to participate in bidding for the works related to beautifying Mall Road.
