Mumbai Indians’ brand value saw a 9% decrease, leaving the franchise’s value at $108 million.
Other franchises also faced losses, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s brand value fell by 10%, Chennai Super Kings by 24%, and Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34%. Rajasthan Royals also recorded a 35% decline in brand value.
Recently, South African player Faf du Plessis, England’s Moeen Ali, and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell announced they will not participate in IPL this year. Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali will take part in the PSL instead.
These changes could have a significant impact on IPL’s future, especially with key players opting out and the declining brand value.
