Selena Gomez has recently shared her secret to stay positive through difficult days.
While speaking to PEOPLE at the third Annual Rare Impact Benefit, the Emilia Perez actress opens up that some days one just needs to get it out and surround themselves with people who give you good laugh.
When reporter presses further, Selena confesses she doesn’t have any secret to staying positive but she reveals what works for her.
“To meet a friend or some loved ones… Maybe talk to my therapist or people that will help me in the situation,” confesses the former Disney star.
Elsewhere in the interview, Selena also notes that the “vulnerability of joy is very real and I want to enjoy things but I know there is so much more we can do”.
As far as goal is concerned, the Only Murders in the Building actress points out that she wants to continue raising awareness on mental health among young people.
Earlier, speaking to Access Hollywood, Selena explains how passionate she is in supporting youth mental health.
The singer-turned-actress replies, “What drives me most is that this brand has always been about being mission driven whether it’s inclusivity or just making people feel seen.”
“Letting people know they are not alone as I have seen people close to me have suffered from mental illness,” mentions the 32-year-old.
Therefore, she tells the outlet that the mental health issue is important to her.
When asked how she protects her mental health through difficult time, Selena adds, “It’s important to surround yourself with people whether it’s just one person.”
“Because you need a sounding board to talk to and any sort of emotion that you can trust,” adds the Wizards of Waverly Place actress.
