“Regime Change in Iran, War Won,” claims Trump

Egypt, Pakistan and Turkiye have moved to broker a ceasefire.

Washington: US President Donald Trump has claimed that a new leadership has emerged in Iran, describing the situation as a “regime change,” and asserted that the United States has won the war against Tehran.

US President Donald Trump has told reporters in the Oval Office, “We have eliminated the leadership in Iran that was causing problems,” adding that the regional dynamics have now shifted significantly.

The US president further claimed that Iran has agreed not to possess nuclear weapons, and that future negotiations would proceed on the basis that Tehran would neither develop atomic weapons nor maintain uranium enrichment capabilities.

According to Trump, Washington now holds a stronger position in any potential talks with Tehran. He also alleged that US forces had destroyed missile launchers inside Iran, rendering any remaining missiles ineffective for attacks.

“We destroyed Iran’s entire navy in just three days,” Trump stated, adding that Iran is now “militarily finished.”

In a separate remark, Trump claimed that Qatar had mistakenly targeted US aircraft, but confirmed that all pilots remained safe and continue to participate in operations.

He expressed the belief that the conflict with Iran would soon come to an end, while criticizing the media, saying, “Fake news is giving the impression that we are not winning the war.”
