Karachi: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Karachi experienced rain, hail, and strong winds as a weather system swept across the city, impacting several neighborhoods.
The sudden spell transformed the usually dry metropolis into a rain-soaked landscape, offering a refreshing change while briefly disrupting daily routines.
Light to moderate rainfall was reported in Orangi Town, SITE Area, Baldia Town, and University Road, while heavier showers accompanied by thunder rattled North Karachi, North Nazimabad, and Nazimabad.
Gulshan-e-Iqbal and nearby localities witnessed a short but intense downpour, whereas Gulistan-e-Johar and Safoora experienced steady rain interspersed with flashes of lightning.
In a rare meteorological event, hail struck parts of Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, North Nazimabad, and Gulistan-e-Johar, delighting residents who captured the unusual sight on social media.
