Government hails auction as a pivotal step toward digital modernization and technological advancement.
Pakistan is poised to enter a transformative phase in digital connectivity as the 5G spectrum auction has been officially slated for March 10, according to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
All logistical and regulatory preparations for the auction have now been finalized.
Officials described the government’s initiative as a landmark stride toward technological modernization, paving the way for the deployment of 5G networks nationwide.
Initially, the ultra-fast service is expected to debut in major urban centers, including Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.
In addition to the rollout of 5G, authorities have indicated that enhancements to existing 4G infrastructure will also be implemented, ensuring users benefit from superior connectivity, higher bandwidth, and a markedly improved internet experience across the country.
