Pakistan carried out strong, sincere, and highly professional diplomatic efforts, helping to make a ceasefire possible and bringing both sides to the table after decades.
These efforts were led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, whose role as a mediator was acknowledged by both parties. Diplomacy continued for 31 hours without interruption, involving several rounds of discussions.
Significant progress was made and some positive outcomes were achieved, but the conflict remains complex and long-standing, with many disagreements as well as external pressures and challenges.
Whatever results were achieved or not achieved are linked to the internal situations and mutual decisions of both sides. Pakistan, however, played an important role in promoting regional and global peace.
A statement by US Vice President JD Vance also reflected a sense of optimism, as he mentioned an offer made during the mediation process.
Both sides now have a better understanding of each other’s positions, and future progress is expected to be based on this improved understanding.
