The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has officially named its squad for the Davis Cup Juniors, set to take center stage in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, from May 16 to 24, 2026.
Trials for the prestigious team were fiercely contested at the PTF Tennis Complex in Islamabad from March 30 to April 2, with 12 of the nation’s top junior talents vying for a coveted spot.
Abubakar Talha, lauded for his stellar recent performances, earned direct selection, bypassing the trials entirely.
The final lineup features Abubakar Talha, Hassan Usmani, and Zohaib Afzal Malik, forming a strong trio ready to represent Pakistan on the international stage.
PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-din Tufail, and the federation management extended their heartfelt support and best wishes to the players, emphasizing their confidence in the team’s potential to make a mark at the tournament.
