BETUL (GOA): State-run ONGC and NTPC Green Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of NTPC on Wednesday signed a joint venture agreement to develop renewable energy projects, with focus on offshore wind.
The JV, signed at the India Energy Week, envisages building renewable energy projects both within India and overseas.
The scope also includes projects in battery storage, e-mobility, carbon credits, green credits, green hydrogen and its derivatives such as green ammonia and green methanol.
ONGC had in September 2023 inked an MoU with NGEL to advance its renewable energy goals in alignment with the government’s energy transition goals.
The primary focus of the MoU was to assess feasibility and establish renewable energy projects across various sectors.
