Three people, including two cops, were martyred after terrorists attacked the vehicle of Miranshah Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu on Tuesday.
The spokesperson for the regional police office (RPO) Kashif Nawaz confirmed the incident to Dawn, adding that the attack took place within the limits of Cantt police station.
He added that two constables and a local citizen were martyred in the attack, while two other police officials were injured.
Unconfirmed reports said the assistant commissioner had died in the attack, but there was no official confirmation.
