Despite facing challenges due to her ongoing recovery from multiple fractures in her foot, Mahira donned a shimmery rani pink saree, reminiscent of Babi’s signature glamorous look, and even underwent a last-minute haircut to capture the essence of the Bollywood style icon.

The star took to her IG Story to pen, “This was a tough shoot, my first since my foot injury (three fractures in my right foot to be precise). I couldn’t move much and I was hating it. The team was so loving and caring.” She sent her love to specific team members, tagging them on her IG Story. 

Mahira also shared a behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot, showcasing her dedication to honouring Parveen Babi’s legacy. The video captures Mahira gracefully moving in the pink saree, paying homage to Babi’s timeless charm. The tribute also includes an interview clip where Mahira reveals the inspiration behind her homage to Parveen Babi.

The superstar reminisced about the first time she encountered Parveen Babi’s allure, citing a Time magazine cover featuring the Indian actress. So I remember seeing this Time magazine cover and it had the gorgeous Parveen Babi on it. It’s because of that cover that I actually watched her films. Some of her songs I just love. She was so beautiful, such a style icon,” Mahira expressed in the interview.

In another segment of the tribute, Mahira is seen wearing a silver kurta outfit, standing in front of a giant screen projecting Parveen Babi’s iconic songs, creating an atmosphere that transports her into the world of the Bollywood legend.
